`I always did like Felicia over MJ, but it never would have worked. Her identity is public and his isn't so how would you explain Felicia palling around with Pete and Spider-Man? Plus, Felicia could never stand to look at Pete outside of the costume. The whole thing would have ended in tragedy. Don't believe me? Hunt down a copy of What If... Spider-Man had not married Mary Jane and What if... Spider-Man had married the Black Cat.
